Primary vote: "Great Escape" by Divine-chan comments: It's impressive how much divine-chan has communicated in just three pages. I think she has captured an intense feeling that lies deep within many people, but is seldom openly approached in this way. The artwork serves beautifully, particularly the empty look in Daniel's eyes on the last page. Well done divine-chan, you have touched on something so many of us feel yet hide from the world.
Secondary vote: "Flight" by Alexe comments: The artwork was impressively realistic, and beautifully composed. The last page in particular I think brought the piece together with a spectacularly gentle finish. The emotion behind the story is deep and passionate, with the hint of something much more intricate being played behind the scenes that the audience is unaware of. A brilliant combination of delicate story with incredible artwork.
Additional comments:
"Courtly Love" chapter 8 by Julie Bihn Since first finding
MOM, I have been continually impressed by the intelligence and
wit in Julie's work. Always enjoyable to read.
"Love" by Dora I've noticed suicide seems to crop up regularly in these entries ^_^ but Dora's approach was so different, so peaceful, yet oddly chilling. That essence I believe is difficult to capture, yet Dora has done so amazingly simply. The piece leaves a lot on one's mind.
"Devil Elf and Sand-witch" by Van Nguyen Gorgeous artwork and just downright funny. Fresh wit, and great new ideas showed through. I hope to see more of Van Nguyen's work in the future. ^_^
*** Sorry I didn't do comments for all of them, but I am a little short on time! I hope this is ok. ^_^ Ameko
