Voting for October

Primary Vote: "Maggie: New and improved" by Alpha2
Comments: A new and unique artistic style. The various lining adds interest to the piece and the shading is very well done (I'm amazed the piece is so neat (ie no smudges) when it's all done in pencil!) The storyline has good continueability if it is selected as the shoujo manga. Alpha2 has clearly accomplished one of the most difficult hurdles in character drawing: Alpha2 can draw hands ^_^

Comments for "Pact" by Alexe Cinz: I'm continually impressed by Cinz's amazing talent in graphic storytelling. The art is always captivating, with a style that's unique and soft in appearance. "Pact" portrays an interesting situation, that I think is posed sometimes (of course in many different ways) in our society. Such choices are what lead us to want to read more of this story...(Man i really sound like a Pansy huh? I just like the art around here, ok?? ^_^;)

Comments for "Rival Pets" by Ameko: Ok I know it's sooo scrappy and low quality etc, bu tI had this little thing called EXAMS. I'll do something decent one day. BTW, I was follwoing my recipe for instant shoujo in this one: 1. Add hair strands 2. Add bishounen 3. Add little dots for no particular reason 4. Add animal ears 5. Add awkwards eye/cheek blushing panels 6. Add -chan to the end of every name 7. Add longer faces and rounder eyes  8. Drop my usual style for something weird that doesn't work well for me!! Did my recipe work?  I think not ^_^;;;

Comments for "Wizard" by Choii: It's about time we got some tough chiks on the scene in my opinion. Although I'm not really one to talk am I ^_^; Well done for the character design! I like the fact that it's actaully a FEMALE saving the damsel in distress rather than some babe of a guy. And I can really identify with the anime personality of the wizard. This story has great continueability as a shoujo manga, with an excellent storyline potential.

Comments for "A New Beginning" by Dee: Fantastic artwork (I'm really impressed with the standard at this site) but I think some of the panels came out a little too pixely. But that has nothign to do with the great artwork ^_^ The layout is interesting and put together well, so reading the story doesn't become tiring. I won't pretend that I totally understand what's going on, but I look forward to more of this series to find out.

Comments for "Broken Crystal" by Kevin and Kathy: Amazing level of artwork for a 13-yr-old ^_^. There's something chilling in the ending to the story that really hits home; i think because of how one feels imagining being in the crowd that day...The outcome was very unexpected to say the least, something not so common in these areas. Good distinctive character design also, I think.

Comments for "Loser's Club" by Tarra: I don't think I reallu understood what the whole 'Loser's Club' part was about ^_^;; There's a nice set-up for some future romance though, and it just leaves us thinking who was behind that door...Godd facial expressions work, and some kawaii SD filler panels ^_~ Good stuff

Comments for "Ito" by Tang: Tang never fails to provide something witty and amusing for his work. Clean-cut artwork, always new ideas pumping through that make his stories so enjoyable to read ^_^ Some of the ideas are just downright weird. I like that.

Comments for "Courtly Love ch8" by Julie Bihn: I'm continually impressed with Bihn's ability to bring about a good story for any topic. This spin-off episode is very original, and in my opinion very funny also. The pokemon craze seems to be touching everyone nowadays, and whilst some people get ratther upset about it, it's good to see others can take it lightheartedly and use it to make something interesting for others ^_^ I've seen Bihn's past works, and it's astonishing the rate at which her artwork gets better stil.

Comments for "A Pleasant Surprise" by Kasumiko: Beautfil artwork, and the panelling is very well done (something which often lacks, as it can be quite a task). I'm not sure I understand where the dream became the reality...@_@ but hopefully this series will be continued so I can understand it a little better. The photoshop work also was excellent IMHO, hope I was right about that...anyway the end result is something soft and meaningful.

Oooh lookit lookit I did a comment for every one ^_~ Sorry they're so long. Thanks again Tang ^_^
