1."Pact" by Alexe Cinz Seemed like a good Halloween story in its way...very pretty, as usual...page 6 didn't really lend itself well to an Internet format (my screen is 1024x768, with my browser window even smaller, so when the page came up, all I could see was 'Thought long and hard' in the window without scrolling...)...but I guess that kind of thing can't be avoided unless you put way too much text in each panel like I do. ^_^; I dunno; I almost liked it as a stand-alone more than something that'll be continued...it will, of course, be interesting to learn more about the characters and what the heck is going on, but if you just had one more page (or maybe two) at the end you'd have a nice freaky short comic...
2. "Rival Pets" by Ameko Your art is rather adorable; I liked your easy style, too. I honestly didn't really understand the point of your story, although the end made some sense, and I thought the zapping scene in page 6 was funny (what's with me amd page 6's this month? ^^;)
3. "Wizard" by Choiii!!! Nice job for a first comic; I had no trouble following the action... The last panel of the last page (oh, crud; that's page 6 too ^^;) was really hard to follow; the text, at least for me, made me read the left side first, then the right, which confused me to no end. ^^; I think you will learn action poses as you practice; even by the end, I thought your poses were better than at the beginning... I liked the story, too.
4. "A New Beginning" by Dee Your art is so nice and clean, and also very pretty. You do blushes nicely too. ^_^ The story is pretty cute; I honestly didn't understand your setting...are they living at school, or does the girl just happen to live near the idol.... I'm always confused when I read MOM entries ^^;
5. "Broken Crystal" by Kevin and Cathy I couldn't get your index page to load on Netscape for the Mac...finally I gave up and used Internet Explorer to view it...I won't be doing that again, though; if you want a wide readership you might want to check that out....(or not; most people use IE and don't have Macs ^^;) I like your art style, and I'm glad you inked.
6 "Maggie: New and Improved" by Alpha2 The art style was really rather shounen, I thought, as were the first several pages of the story. But when Maggie started talking to herself, it felt more shoujo to me, and by the end, I liked it. I honestly thought the chat sessions were extraneous; it was obvious to me before the last page that Maggie liked Ethan but the other guy was really cute and popular so now she didn't know what to do... I do like the chat name "Maggiemag," though...maybe because I like the name Maggie...my cat's name is Maggie...^_^;
7. "Loser's Club" Chapter One by Tarra You've set up some interesting mysteries; this could be really cool. I like the cute little girl; I'd like to see more of her... The random guy popping up at the end just seemed weird, though...I suppose if you (or someone else--couldn't this month's entries be impros for another page?) continue, that might be cool, but where it is, I feel unsatisfied--not that I want to see more of the guy (I don't know anything about him but I don't care yet, since he hasn't done anything...)... Anyway, I like your general concept...kind of like "Utena" and the first four episodes I've seen of "Brother Dear Brother"...
8. "Ito" Last chapter by Tang I'm sorry; I haven't read more than the first few chapters of "Ito" (and that was HOW many months? years? ago?), so I can't comment on it in the context of everything...it was cute to someone who hasn't read the impromanga (?), though; I liked how the last two pages really demonstrated the characters' affectionate yet adversarial relationship (that's right, right? ^^;;;)...I'm sure if I knew the characters on a deeper level I would've either found it funnier, or maybe just been enraged at your casual treatment of them? ^_-;;;
9. "Courtly Love " chapter 8a by Julie Bihn What can I comment about? I already apologized. I thought maybe I could work on my layouts in this little piece somehow, but I failed in that too. -_- And my lettering was even worse than usual...^^; I guess the last page isn't completely horrible, anyway...except for those of you who go into convulsions upon seeing those cute little Pokémon...^^;
10. "A Pleasant Surprise " by Kasumiko I love your coloring. As always. Left to right? I thought it was right to left...I tried the first time (before you had a note of which way to read) reading left to right and totally got confused...^^;;; The story got interesting near the end (the part with the paper airplane was cute, too), but I couldn't honestly tell your female characters apart...I'm really bad at noticing subtle differences, though; that's why I don't participate in Impromanga; I get lost ^^;
