"The teacher from Hell" is not a great manga. However, the characters in this book are very likable. Miki is a typical material girl on the surface; Intensive, rude and greedy, but she is a 11-year-old girl after all. This scene show even a bad girl has her soft spot.
When Miki first saw the flower dwindling in the shadow caused by a new high rise building, her initial reaction was typical of herself, "I wouldn't feel sorry for you, (you just a flower) go ahead, suffer more and see if I care." Nevertheless, deep inside, her consciousness reacted differently. She dug up the poor flower and plants it onto a sunny area. If she were a gentle lady, it would not surprise me, but for a girl who normally behaved like Madonna, her action here was refreshing.
